Q. What is the appropriate length of a resume? 1 page, 2 pages, etc?
A. We like to review as much information as possible on our candidates. We would like for a resume to be less than 5 pages; but, we need to have a complete resume detailing your past experiences. This assists us in completing a full interview with you as well as highlighting your experience to our clients.
Q. What should be included in a resume?
A. While there are many acceptable resume formats, what we have proven works best is the following: a strong summary highlighting your experience and skills; education information; any licenses, registrations or certifications you possess; chronological work history with client and responsibility information.
Q. Why do I need to complete the skills card when I have submitted my resume?
A. The skills card is an additional selling tool for you. Your resume is the introduction to the client and, at ASN, we take the candidate presentation to the next level by showing our clients that you meet all of their minimum requirements and will be an ideal candidate for them to interview and hire. The skills card allows us to fully highlight all of your experience and skills. The skills card should highlight what your resume has stated but is presented in a discipline/specialty space that allows clients to fully see your potential.
